Pizza Night, Friends, and Hammocking
June 18-28
The beginning of the week was a bit slower this week. William and I went for a drive around to see what was happening around Grand Haven, as the area was starting to get a bit busier with all the tourists.
On Thursday I found a new hammocking spot and packed a lunch to have a little picnic and enjoy the nice weather. Afterward, I did some thrifting with my friend Emma before going to see my grandma. Later in the evening, I met back up with my friends for some drinks.
On Friday I went over to my grandpas and we looked through some photo albums together. I found so many beautiful pictures of my grandma. I really enjoyed looking through those.
Saturday I worked on editing some of the photos my grandpa and I scanned and then visited with my grandma for a while. In the evening we had a family make-your-own pizza dinner.
Sunday I went to church and then we went to visit my grandma for a while. Afterward, I went to Charlie’s house and helped him with painting the trim in the bedrooms and door frames. The house is looking good and Charlie is making good progress on it.
Monday the boys and I had lunch with my grandpa Jay and we looked at Charlie’s new warehouse space in Grand Haven. He just finished moving in all of his inventory and equipment. It’s super cool to see him work on all of his projects. In the afternoon the weather was so beautiful so Calvin, William, and I hung out in the backyard. William was the DJ and played music for us while we swam. It was a beautiful day.
On Tuesday Olyvia and I grabbed breakfast together at the village baker while Emma was working. We brought some work to do ourselves to get done while we ate. I then went to Charlie’s house to help him paint some more. We picked out the flooring and he and his friends started laying that down in the living room and dining room. I spent the rest of the evening working on my tapestry and then hanging out at the beach near Emma’s house.
Wednesday morning I did some laundry while FaceTiming with my friend Georgia. It was really nice to catch up with her. I then decided to check out some of the antique stores around town.
I visited with my grandma for a while before going over to Olyvia’s house to watch the new season of The Bear on Netflix together.
Early Thursday morning I drove up north to Traverse City to hang out with my friend Sophia. I hadn’t seen her since I was in London this spring so it was really nice to see her. We just chatted and caught up with each other, played some games, and ate some ice cream. I always love seeing her. I then met up with my friends Abby and Amelie. Abby is visiting for the week from Colorado. We went to our favorite antique store that we used to go to while we were in school together. We had some Vietnamese food for dinner before going back to Amelie’s house. She lives at Sleeping Bear Dunes so we walked around for a while before going to bed.
Today we went to breakfast together before I headed back home. I really loved visiting with my friends. This evening I babysat again for the two little girls. We did lots of crafts and singing tonight.
I hope you have a good weekend!
