San Francisco, Crafts, and Deer

June 29 - July 19

It’s been a crazy last couple of weeks. I spent the end of June and the first week of July spending time with my grandma before she passed. I’m really grateful for the time I was able to spend with her this summer in her final days. I miss her every day.

I’ve also been working on my tapestry and spending time with Calvin. We went to an art fair together and did some drawing at my favorite coffee shop. I love spending time with him.

My mom and I also went to the shrimp boil together at the Spring Lake Yacht Club. It was a lovely dinner with a gorgeous sunset and good music.

The second week of July I went on a quick trip to visit my friend Abby in San Fransico. It was such a nice trip to get my mind off of things. We went to the Legion of Honor Museum, Sutro Baths, SFMoMa, deYoung Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, Hiked Twin Peaks, and Muir Woods, went over the Golden Gate Bridge, and walked along Ocean Beach. Abby grew up in SF so she was a great tour guide and knew all the good places to go! We spent some time with her family and just caught up together. It was such a lovely trip.

This week I’ve just been at home with my family. My grandma’s service was beautiful and every time I visit her I see deer exploring the sand dunes.

Hope you have a good rest of the week and are enjoying your summer!
