Pasta Night, Printmaking, and Photoshoots

April 29 - May 5

Monday I went into the studio in the morning to work on my prints for a bit before grabbing lunch with Millie and then heading to printmaking class. It was a work day so we just spent time on our prints. In the evening Millie and Livia helped me document my puppet showpiece for my Identity and Alterego studio class. I had a lot of fun getting dressed up and taking pictures.

Tuesday morning I had a meeting with my professor to check in on my design for my earring assignment and necklace final. After class, I worked on my ring for my Wednesday studio class. I then wrote my essay for my Intro to Culture Criticism class.

Wednesday morning my liberal arts class was canceled due to the protests on campus in support of Palestine. There has been a resurgence of protesting this week and I don’t see it ending anytime soon. In class on Wednesday we learned how to make tools for flush set stone setting. I am doing a bunny series for all the stone settings we are learning. I’m excited to see them all together when I am finished. After class, Millie helped me document my other piece for my Alterego class. I made a chatelaine for my fingertips.

Thursday I had my critique for my documentation of my pieces and we decided to reshoot the pieces to see if I could get some better shots.

Friday was my big laundry and deep cleaning day. In the evening, Millie, Livia, Stefan, and I all went to a little get-together in a friend's dorm and then spent some time outside, enjoying the nice weather.

Saturday I worked in the studio on my finals. For dinner I decided I wanted to make a sandwich so I walked to Trader Joe's with Millie and then met up with Livia and Stefan for a sandwich night. It was very delicious.

Today I am going back to the studio to get some more work done on my finals. Hope you have a good week!
