Solar Eclipse, Demos, and The Movies
April 8-14
Monday was the solar eclipse. Providence was in 95% coverage so it was really cool to see! I had printmaking class in the afternoon and then we were given a break to watch the eclipse. There were so many people released from class and piled onto the hill to watch the sky. We made pin-hole cameras so we could look at the eclipse without burning our eyes with some paper. It was such an amazing experience!
Tuesday was such a beautiful day so I went to work in the studio for a bit and then took a walk to Trader Joe’s to grab some lunch and sit by the river and soak up the sun. It was such a gorgeous day!
Wednesday I had a critique on my chair necklace. It went really well and I’m excited for my next assignments. We had a demo on how to solder a bezel and set a stone into a ring.
Thursday and Friday were just studio days. I am working on some of my finals for class and trying to get as much of those done so I can try to enjoy the nice weather in the coming weeks.
Friday evening Millie, Livia, and I went to a movie at the theater.
Yesterday and Today are also studio days. I am working on the elements for a performance piece I am doing. It’s going to be a puppet show so I am currently working on the puppets for that.
Have a good week!
