Sewing, Friends, and Family
Monday morning I met up with Emma, Olyvia, and Amber for Emma’s going away breakfast. She is moving back down to Nashville for the year. We went to one of my favorite breakfast places in Grand Haven called Morning Star. We just enjoyed the last bit of time we had all together.
Tuesday was my appointment day, and I was trying to get them all squeezed in before I go back to school. In the afternoon I laid on the hammock in the backyard while Calvin showed off his dives into the pool.
On Thursday I headed to Pierson to spend time with my Grandpa Jay. We just sat on the porch and caught up for a few hours before I headed to Kaelee’s house. Kaelee and I have been friends since 1st grade. We made dinner together while catching up on what’s been happening in each other’s lives. We ended the night by watching some TV.
Friday we ran some errands and visited my mom’s old antique store in Newaygo. It’s changed a lot since I had last been in there. Kaelee and I usually spend a lot of time on the water when I’m at her house, but it was quite rainy so we spent the afternoon painting instead.
On Sunday, Olyvia and I went to a tent sale at an antique shop in town. There was lots of nice stuff there. I worked on my tapestry for the afternoon and finished it up. It’s a piece I started with my grandma when I would visit her and now it’s finally finished. In the evening I went over to Olyvia’s apartment she just moved into and we had a movie night together.
It was a good week, visiting some good people.
