Detroit, Puppets, and Pizza

July 30 - August 4

This week my friend Olyvia and I drove over to Detriot for a concert. We saw MICHELLE and Still Woozy, it was a great show!

On Wednesday and Thursday I worked on my puppet with Calvin. We are making good progress and will hopefully be done soon. Later in the evening, I went out for some drinks with Emma and Olyvia. We chatted and played cards for a while. 

On Friday I worked some more on my puppet with Calvin before running some errands around town to get supplies for pizza night. Eric, Caleb, and their new puppy came over for make your own pizza night. It was nice to see them. 

I spent all day Saturday sewing in the living room. I made three dresses from vintage tablecloths I had been collecting for my friends and I. Lily likes to lay in the sun next to me whenever I’m working. 

On Sunday Jacob and I drove over to Detroit to meet up with one of my professors, Micheal,  from RISD. We walked around The Detroit Institute of Art, he showed me the studio he has a residency this summer, and then we went to Cranbrook’s campus and walked around there. I hope to one day go to grad school at Cranbrook. It was really nice talking with Micheal and learning more about what his career looks like as a working artist.
